A Quick Update

To All-
While last week I blogged that Ret should be heading south to the Hutch in 3-4 weeks to begin the transplant process................... well as they say "not so fast buckaroo" seems as if her M-Protein has in fact been reduced even more, which is not what they thought would happen. It's a good because they want it a low as possible going into the transplant, but a bad thing if you're mentally prepared to move on to the next stage which Ret was. Oh well you learn to live with these ups and downs as you go along, but we'll get her there soon.

Love Ret and Jack

  1. Hi Jack and Lauretta

I'm sorry to hear things are delayed but very happy to hear the counts are going down. Hang in there Lauretta - it must be soooo hard to be patient and wait when you are in pain and just want it over with. But just think - the more you have going for you going in, the better it will be in the big picture. Let me know if I can do anything for you...or we can meet for a glass of wine. Are you on alcohol restriction??? On second thought maybe you shoudn't be mixing wine and oxycontin - especially because you are such a little thing! How about if we meet and I drink wine and you eat oxycontin? You are always included in my prayers - be positive. You will get through this and get to the other side. And then, we can BOTH drink wine!
    Love, Barb

  2. Jack and Lauretta: Good news on the M-Protein count going down. Any new estimate on when the transplant will take place?
Thinking of you two, as always,
